Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation (PRRF)

The Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation (PRRF) is built on a foundation of 20 years of outstanding research outcomes of the Vision Research-ROPARD Foundation (“VRRF”).

Founded in 1990 by a concerned group of physicians and volunteers, ROPARD was the first organization in the country dedicated to eliminating the problems of low vision and blindness in children caused by premature birth and other retinal retinal diseases.

Our work over the past 20 years has helped substantially reduce blindness in premature infants. We have funded research at Oakland University’s Eye Research Institute, the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University.

Mission

The mission of the Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation (PRRF) is to support the community of families impacted by blinding pediatric retinal diseases and champion the quest for cure.
