National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC)

Represents the genetic counseling profession. Provides information and support to families who have members with birth defects or genetic disorders and to families who may be at risk for a variety of inherited conditions. Offers a “Find a Counselor” service.

Mission

The National Society of Genetic Counselors advances the various roles of genetic counselors in health care by fostering education, research, and public policy to ensure the availability of quality genetic services.
